New Programs on Nurturing Durham!

We are always learning about new resources to support the people who are supporting Durham’s children, and we’ve recently found The Village Durham, Hibiscus Healing, and The Family Navigator.

The mission of The Village Durham is to support family preservation by connecting parents in crisis to relationships and organizations in our community that can help: nurturingdurhamnc.org/programs/the-village-durham.

Hibiscus Healing is a small business that provides birth work and childcare services to families in the Triangle and surrounding areas: nurturingdurhamnc.org/programs/hibiscus-healing/.

The Family Navigator is a parent educator and advocate who can support families in finding what they need after a child’s diagnosis: nurturingdurhamnc.org/programs/the-family-navigator/.

While most programs listed on Nurturing Durham are run by non-profit organizations and are freely available, some of our recent additions are small businesses. Although these providers may charge fees for their professional offerings, they are included because their services uniquely relate to the purpose of Nurturing Durham and they make an effort to provide at least some free resources or low cost services.
