Duke Children’s Evaluation Center

Duke Children’s Evaluation Center (DCEC) provides a team of trained child therapists and mental health professionals who focus on evaluating and providing short-term treatments for children and young adults who may be experiencing behavioral or mental health challenges. When warranted, DCEC will also help families connect to other mental health providers that can meet the child’s long-term needs.

Parents or caregivers who are concerned about their child’s behavioral or mental health needs (examples could include: disruptive or concerning behaviors, adjustment difficulties, attention challenges, or relationship problems) should contact Duke Children’s Evaluation Center.

Duke Children’s Evaluation Center serves infants, children and young adults (ages 0-25)

Where Can You Get Services:

Duke Children’s Evaluation Center is located in Durham at 2608 Erwin Road, Suite 300, the Pavilion East at Lakeview Building; free parking is available for patients.

How To Get Connected:

To make an appointment for an evaluation, call 919-385-3232 and leave a message with the child’s name, date of birth and behavioral health insurance provider. An intake staff member will return your call as soon as possible.

Cost:

Coverage for mental health services will vary based on your health insurance plan.
