EChO Program at Exchange Family Center

The Early Childhood Outreach (EChO) Program and its team of specialists work with childcare providers and families of young children who are experiencing behavioral challenges in their classrooms.

EChO consultants work closely with childcare providers and families to identify a child’s specific challenges and needs, and then develop strategies and supports so that a teacher and child can successfully engage in the classroom together.

Families can expect the EChO consultant to conduct classroom observations and child screenings, and then to develop an individualized action plan to help teachers and families address the behavior. Teachers are provided resources and coaching as they put new strategies into place.
