The NC chapter of Postpartum Support International (PSI) is an organization that connects pregnant people and new parents with mental health resources across the state. The PSI HelpLine and area coordinators can connect parents with therapists, medication providers, doulas and others that are trained in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. In addition, PSI offers free virtual support groups, including pregnancy and postpartum support, Black Mamas Matter, Spanish language groups, loss groups and more. PSI also offers educational information, peer support and trainings on perinatal mood disorders. For immediate support, reach out to the national maternal mental health hotline: call or text 1-833-943-5746 (1-833-9-HELP4MOMS).
